I hope everyone has been enjoying the holidays. I am in KY right now, visiting my family. Although I am from Cincinnati, my mom doesn't live there anymore and her family is all in Northern KY....so, here I am. It's nice here.....quiet....much different from LA. It's cold but not too cold. Christmas was good, in it's usual chaotic way. My mother's side of the family is LARGE....year after year we cram 30+ people into my 97 year old grandmother's 800 SF one bedroom apartment. It's cozy to say the least.
Tomorrow I head back to LA. Because of all of my traveling this year I have actually achieved flying status. That's right - I am a Silver Medallion member. I actually got bumped up to first class on the way here. Oh my, what a difference that makes on a 4 hour flight. Fingers crossed it will happen again tomorrow......
When I get back I will be back to song writing....I have a lot of almost finished songs...I'm really excited about all of them!! I will share them as soon as they make their way into recordable form....
In March, I am very excited to announce that I was accepted to play at SXSW for the first time!! I will be playing in the Koch Records Showcase...stay tuned for more info!
