    Great new review: "Dimestore Halo"
    Aug 20, 2010

    Hey kids ;)

This review just came out and I wanted to share it with you all. It comes from a reviewer who was apparently at my SXSW showcase and he reviews both my live performance and my album....VERY favorably! Yay!

    September SOUTHWEST 11 day tour!
    Aug 9, 2010

hey every buddy ;) So, after playing booking agent for a month, I have finally booked an 11 day tour for The Julie Neumark Band (more creative name coming soon).  We will be starting our tour off in AZ and then winding our way over to NM, then up to CO and ending back in AZ. See the full tour on my "shows" page.

Please pass along the dates to all of your southwest friends! We'd love to meet them! One of the most fun things about touring has been meeting friends of friends and getting to know them :) I also want to shout out to all of the generous folks who are opening their homes to us to stay with along the course of the tour. Thank you Toni, Beth, Jody, Shelly, and Lisa!

More to come soon...stay tuned!! :)

    "Dimestore Halo" featured on iTunes
    Jul 7, 2010

    Hey everybody :)

I just found out that Dimestore Halo is on iTunes front page. I never expected this and am quite excited! If you are not iTunes saavy, what this means is when you go onto iTunes, right below the big headers on the top, there is a box featuring 32 new releases and Dimestore Halo is one of them! I'm sharing the page with the likes of Ray LaMontagne, Bret Michaels, and Hannah Montana. Ha! :)

This is where I need your help. If each of you could just take a few moments and click on the "Dimestore Halo" icon and give it a review and a rating, I would REALLY appreciate it! It's really easy.....

    1. Go onto iTunes

    2. Locate the box called "music" and scroll to the right (Dimestore Halo is on the top row)

    3. Click on it.

    4. Underneath all of the songs, at the bottom of the page it will say "Customer Reviews".

    5. Click on "write a review"

That's it! It's as simple as that and I can't tell you how much I appreciate it :)

I hope you all had a safe and fun 4th of July...

Be well and I will be in touch!

    Cheers,

    Julie

    The Sanyo Xacti Sound Recorder
    Jul 1, 2010

A couple days ago, I had the pleasure of receiving a wonderful new gadget: The Sanyo Xacti Sound Recorder. Being a touring singer / songwriter, I am ALWAYS coming up with new melodies while I am away from my home studio. Over the years I’ve recorded snippets of song ideas into old-school cassette recorders and I’ve even borrowed other people’s cell phones so I could sing into my cell phone’s voicemail! The point is, when an idea strikes you (and you never know when it will) you have to document it before it slips away into the atmosphere! The aforementioned recording tactics are way less than ideal and have landed me in situations where I sometimes cannot even make out what I have recorded. I have a feeling that things will be different now…

The Sanyo Xacti Sound Recorder is small, sleek, digital and really easy to use! Oh, and the sound….wow…the tiny built in mic is super sensitive and the clarity is really amazing. The other cool thing is that is plugs right into my garage band so I can build on my recording in there and easily email the MP3 when I am ready. The battery is rechargeable through connecting the USB cable to your computer and so far it seems to last pretty long. I am only at the beginning of figuring out how to use this little gem to it’s fullest capacity but in the meantime, it has become my tiny little songwriting companion! Check it out: http://www.sanyo.com/soundrecorder
